PUBG announces 3.5 million prizepool PUBG Global Invitational 2021

PUBG Corporation has announced that the PUBG Global Invitational’s 2021 awards tournament will be held in South Korea next spring, eight weeks PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds Sports Festival.

To protect players and participants from infections, PUBG Global Invitational 2021 will be held from 2 February to 28 March 2021 and PUBG guarantees full safety measures, includes quarantines, 32 global teams from all over Korea, North America, Europe, Latin America, China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Chinese Taipei will be joined at the 8-week esport festival.

PUBG Global Invitational Tournament format

Opening Weekend

  • All teams play during Week 1 to decide their initial placement
  • The first weekly survival starts at the top 16 in week 1

Weekly Survival

  • 16 matches to pick 16 chicken dinner winners will be held on weekdays.
  • When a team won the match in any game. The squad will quit their weekly survival and be joined at the opening weekend by the 17th.
  • The process continues until 16 teams are eligible to win the Weekly End.
  • During this point, teams will win prize money.

Weekly Finals

  • 10 Matches
  • During this process, teams can gain considerably more money.

In the weekly matches, teams will play in eight weekly ‘Survival’ matches. There will be a “larger amount of prize money” based on results in the 10 matches played per Final. The team with the most prize money will be named World Champions after PUBG Global Invitation 2021.

PUBG Corporation has promised its own safety measures and to follow strict government directives. For instance, all player and staff schedules will cover a quarantine period of two weeks.
